How long after the examination will I have the report? |

The doctor's report will be available within 7-10 business days after the examination. However, this time frame can change depending on the complexity of the exam, number of doctors involved, and availability of medical records. Please notify us of any deadlines you may have at the time you request the examination. |

What may cause a report to be delayed? |

The most common reasons that a report may be delayed include:
- Incomplete records and/or lack of films supplied to the doctor
- No specific questions included with the IME request for the doctor to address
- Large volume of records to review/complex case
- Incorrect requestor address and/or contact information provided on the request form
- Nonpayment for examinations requiring prepayment
- Waiting for clarification from the physician

What are the qualifications for doctors who perform independent medical examinations? |

Requirements for doctors to perform IME vary from state to state, by specialty and can also vary based on specific regulations mandated by governing bodies. At IME Inc., the majority of our physicians are board certified in their respective specialties. Additionally, many have received specialized training in performing independent medical examinations including certification through The American Board Of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME) and/or other organizations such as The American Academy Of Disability & Evaluating Physicians. |

What is the cancellation policy? |

IME Inc.'s general cancellation policy is as follows and has been shaped by market trends within the industry: Cancellations made more than seven (7) days prior to the exam, no fee; cancellations made seven (7) days or less, but more than three (3) days prior to the exam, there is a 50% fee (based on expected IME charges); cancellations made three (3) days or less prior to the exam, full fee (100%). Please call us at (866) 584-9810 to discuss a particular physician’s policy as while the general policy covers most of the physicians with whom we schedule, some reviewers have special arrangements with IME Inc. |

What if I need an addendum or clarification to the report? |

Addendums and clarifications are always available. Addendums relating to new or additional questions, and
those which require the review of additional medical records, will be billed by the hour. There is no charge for clarification requests. |

Will the examining doctor be available if required for deposition, expert testimony and/or trial? |

Doctors are available as required for deposition, expert testimony, and trial. Providing as much advance notice as possible helps to avoid any potential scheduling conflicts. Please contact your IME representative directly or call

What if the patient is under 18 years of age? |

Patients under 18 years of age will need to be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. |

When will an interpreter be required? |
| A: |
In most cases if the examinee does not speak English, an interpreter will be required in order to properly perform the examination. IME Inc. works with interpreters specializing in many different languages and can schedule an interpreter to meet your requirements. We can also arrange for transportation services and third-party audio/videography. In certain situations we can assist you with lodging arrangements. |

The request for examination can be scheduled utilzing our Online Request Form, by telephone at (866) 584-9810, or in person with your IME Inc. representative. Providing this information is the first step in scheduling and receiving confirmation of the date, time and doctor specialty that you require. Upon completing the examination request form, your request will be processed and you will be contacted by a IME Inc. scheduling professional within 24 hours. |
